Český Krumlov
This historical town was a seat of many important Czech dynasties – The Witigonen, The Rosenbergs, The Eggenbergs and
The Swarzenbergs. The town is located on the river Vltava and in 1992 was its historical center included onto
UNESCO´ s World Cultural and Natural Heritage. The State Castle of
Český Krumlov is the second largest castle areal in Czech Republic (right after the Prague Castle).

Kutná Hora
In this town and it´s neighborhood is located many remarkable historical sights, which you may
like to visit. Big rarity that needs to be mentioned is Cemetery of Sedlec monastery and cemetery chapel with ossuary. Cemetery of Sedlec monastery - during
the epidemics of plague in the 14th century (about 30 000 people were buried here) and also during the Hussite wars in first quarter of the 15th century
(about 10 000 people were buried here). The remains of this about 40 000 people, were used to create an unique decoration of the chapel. The largest collections
of bones are arranged in the form of bells in the four corners of the chapel. Another important sight is The Cathedral of Assumption of Our Lady and Saint John
the Baptist. You can also visit Czech Museum of Silver, where the visitors equipped with a lamp, helmet and mining kirtle with hood go through a 250 m long
medieval gallery. In 1995 Kutná Hora was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Hluboka nad Vltavou Castle
Hluboka nad Vltavou Castle got its present appearance in the 19th century after a Neo-Gothic reconstruction. Hluboká Castle
was originally founded as a guardian castle in the middle of the 13th century by Bohemian kings. The castle owes its current appearance to the Schwarzenberg
family and is often described as the most beautiful Czech castle. The Schwarzenbergs founded an expansive landscaped park in the mid19th century. In the
Castle riding hall, you can view the exposition of South Bohemian Gothic and Dutch masters from the collections of the Aleš South Bohemian Gallery.

Because of the small distance can be this trip easily connected with visitation of Český Krumlov.

Jindřichův Hradec
The beginning of Jindřichův Hradec is connected to the existence of a Slavic fortified settlement (in 9th century).
The oldest preserved written report on Hradec is from 1220, when Jindřichův Hradec manor was owned by the founder of the lords of Hradec,
Jindřich I and he built a Gothic castle at the place of the former settlement. Jindřichův Hradec is one of the oldest towns in Czech Republic.
Mentionable sights are: castle, Minorite Monastery, several churches, preserved parts of municipal fortification or the Krýza´s Crib which is
the largest folk mechanic crib in the world and it deserved to be entered to the Guinness Book of Records. The author, Tomáš Krýza, manufactured
his unique crib for more than 60 years.

The Průhonice Park
The park itself is the most significant landscape element southeast of Prague. The Průhonice Park is a UNESCO World Heritage
Site and Czech National Historic Landmark. The natural park (the area of 250 hectares) was founded in the year 1885 by the Count Arnošt Emanuel Silva-Tarouca.
The result of his lifelong hard work is an original masterpiece of garden landscape architecture of worldwide importance. Apart from its artistic and historic
significance, the park is also valuable from the dendrological point of view with its collection of about 1.600 species of local and exotic plants.
The collection of rhododendrons is particularly unique. There are about 8.000 rhododendrons within 100 taxa and cultivars.

Karlštejn Castle
Probably the most famous castle in Czech Republic was established by the Czech king and Roman Emperor Charles IV
between the years 1348 – 1365, as a place to store the royal treasures, collections of holy relics and the crown jewels. According to one legend,
Karlštejn Castle was intended only for the secular and spiritual needs of King Charles IV, so women were forbidden from entering. The Castle is
located in beautiful landscape Český kras on river Berounka.

time 1 hour and 45 minutes, price 80,- EUR.
Note: Please be aware that official parking is located 2 km far from the Castle.

Křivoklát Castle
The Castle Křivoklát is one of the most significant royal residences in the Czech Republic. The first information
about castle´s predecessor is in the chronicle of Cosmo in year 1109. The construction of a stone castle begun by Wenceslas I (from Přemysl dynasty)
in the 13th century. King and Holy Roman Emperor Charles IV spent here a part of his childhood. The Habsburg dynasty used the castle mainly as a
state prison. For example famous British alchemist Edward Kelley was imprisoned here by Rudolf II Habsburg.

Karlovy Vary (Carlsbad)
City is named after King of Bohemia and Holy Roman Emperor Charles IV, who founded the city in 1370.
It is historically famous for its hot springs. Soon the city developed into a famous spa resort, and was visited by many members of European
aristocracy. The most of architectural monuments are from 18th and 19th century. Since 1807 is the city also well known for its “Becherovka” liqueur manufacture.

Poděbrady
The spa town of Poděbrady lies in the central Polabi region just under 50 km east from Prague. The first thing to strike a visitor to the town is
the water castle, the oldest and most famous monument in Poděbrady, founded by King Ottokar II. The recent history of the town is closely associated with spa therapy. The health resort park,
which was progressively built in several stages and is located in the very center of the town, is now deservedly the pride of Poděbrady and is admired by hundreds of health resort guests and
visitors to the town. Another interesting landmarks: flower clock, spa institute called "Libenský“, etc. After the city sightseeing you can enjoy the relax by the Poděbrady´s lake or
make a bike or inline skates trip along the river Elbe. Bikes are available to rent on the place, inline skates you have to bring with you.

Castle Konopiště
Beautiful castle Konopiště has one of the most interesting and unique castle collections in Europe. First mention about
Konopiště goes back to the year 1318. The last owner of the palace was Habsburg Archduke Franz Ferdinand d´Este (his assassination was pretext for the 1. World War).
After the 1. World War became the palace property of Czechoslovakia.
